Although others have managed to wear them for longer, we recommend 7 days for best results. They may however last longer or shorter depending on your individual body chemistry / genetics (eg oily lids will dissolve the Bond sooner) & the way you apply and care for your lashes.

You can also use our lashes for 1 day use, say if you wanted to try a new style for the next day.

The great thing is that removal (and re-application!) is super easy, fast and can be done at home, so even if a cluster is starting to look iffy after a couple of days, there’s nothing stopping you from fixing or replacing it!

YES! You can carry on your daily activities as per usual e.g. exercising/sweating, showering, sleeping… However, do bear in mind that, as is the case for professional salon lash extensions - oil, heat & water will soften the bond’s hold. Our lashes can sustain some light face-sleeping, but of course, excessive rubbing will also loosen the bond’s hold.

With proper care, your DIY lash extensions can last up to 1 week.

Factors that affect lash longevity are:

- Lifestyle

- Lash maintenance (i.e. how well you take care of them)

- Individual body chemistry / genetics (e.g. oily eyelids will dissolve the Bond faster)

- Your application of Bond and Sealant

Lash retention will improve after you've done a couple of applications & have learnt to better / more accurately apply Bond and Sealant.

Some customers managed to get 8+ days wear, even though they started out with only 3 days wear (when they first began applying DIY lashes).

Yes you can. However, please note that they are water-resistant, NOT waterproof. They can take a splash or two of water but don’t get them drenched and avoid DIRECT contact with water (if you want them to last you longer).

If you do get them drenched at e.g. a pool party - no biggie - you don't need to worry about them coming off at the party but bear in mind they probably won't last the full 5 days anymore. Gently pat dry with a clean tissue, leave to air-dry and then brush them out with a lash spoolie (if needed). Re-squeeze with our applicator. 

Also remember that steam and heat may soften the bond’s hold. In other words, treat your DIY lash extensions like you would professional salon ones. 

Yes! You won’t be needing mascara. However, if eyeliner or eyeshadow is applied, please be careful when removing it and be sure to use a water-based (rather than oil-based) make-up remover (eg micellar water) and/or wipes. See our blog post here for a video tutorial of how to remove make-up with lashes on.

Use oil-free make-up remover (eg micellar water) to wipe off eye make-up. Try to avoid touching the lashes. Apply and massage the cleanser around your eyes, then wipe away with a wet face cloth. Wash the part below your eyes & your forehead as per normal. In other words, treat your DIY lash extensions like you would professional salon ones and avoid touching them. To maximise longevity, we recommend the following. But even if you DON'T follow 1 or more of the below - no biggie - it just means that your lashes might not last the full 1 week (but you should get at least 5 days' wear out of them anyway).

1. Try and not get them wet for the first 12-24 hours, to ensure that the bond dries properly. That includes steam from hot showers. 
2. Avoid oil-based products near your eyes (including foundation, creams, cleansers, removers, eyeliner, eyeshadows containing oils).
3. Try not to rub and pull on them in general. Oil from your fingers can wear down the bond. 
4. When showering, try to avoid excessive water pressure or water exposure where possible, as they are water-resistant and not waterproof. If they get wet, gently pat dry and let them airdry. Brush out with a lash spoolie later if needed. Re-squeeze with our applicator.

Definitely not! NONE of our customers have ever experienced a lash popping off in the middle of the day... how cringe!

This is because as soon as a lash segment starts to get a bit loose - you will feel it and know it is time to check it & perhaps re-squeeze or touch up. And even if you don't - our proprietary lash bond formula ensures they don't ever 'pop off' like a strip lash band without you knowing - they usually have to be at the very least pulled off (assuming it is already loose).

Ordinarily when everything is securely on, you don't feel anything. So as soon as you feel something - that is your alert to check your lashes whenever you have time.

Just grab your bond and applicator and reapply. Unlike salon lash extensions where you have to book a refill, this fix takes only a couple of seconds!

Also, each lash pair comes with 12 segments, a generous 6 per eye! Most people only need 4 or 5 segments per eye, but we wanted to err on the safe side and give you extra :)

Some of our customers choose to remove DIY lash extensions after 1 day for personal reasons, for example if they prefer to wear a new lash style the next day. Removal is very easy and takes less than 1 minute.

They feel just like traditional salon lash extensions i.e. you don’t feel anything at all! This is because they are designed to adhere to the underside of your natural lashes, NOT your skin, eyelid or waterline.

Bear in mind that our lashes are specially designed for petite eyes, and are therefore weightless compared to others on the market. To ensure maximum comfort for daily wear (and sleep!), we crafted the cotton band to be ultra-thin, soft and supple.

Full-eye lash look

Most people only need 3-4 segments per eye for a "full-eye" lash look, but we wanted to err on the safe side and give you extra :)

Super natural look

Some of our customers like to use just 2 lash segments at the ends of each eye for a super natural & lifted look.

The only exception are the lashes Fruitcake Flutter and Sleigh the Day - they each come with 8 lash segments in total (because these lash segments come with longer lash bases).

Removal is really fast and easy - takes a maximum of 1 minute.

Apply our Remover to the underside and top of your lashes. Gently rub your lashes with your fingers to massage everything into your lashes. Wait around 40 seconds before gently rubbing again - they should slide right off and you shouldn’t feel any discomfort. If not, apply more remover and give it a little more time. Yes, our lashes are reuseable up to 7x! Instructions on how to sanitise & reuse are here. Most customers use 2-3 lash clusters per eye and most lash packs come with 12 lash clusters (so that's 2-3 FRESH uses before reusing).

Absolutely! Our lashes are suitable for both glasses and contact lens users.

This can be easily avoided by following the tips on this here.

If they are already clumpy, then you can fix this by using a SHARP tweezer to comb through the clumpy parts. Do not use our Zukyun applicator (which is specifically designed to have dulled edges for 100% eye safety).

Yes. You won't get that tidy salon lash look OR achieve week-long lash longevity without them. They are needed for Step 2 of application i.e. "squeezing". You can see from this brief tutorial video(from 1.05 min onwards) that all of the items in a Zukyun starter bundle are important for application. 

It takes 9 minutes to apply but this all depends on technique and experience. The first application can be a bit tricky since the technique will be new to you. By the third time you should be a pro! See our blog post here for a video tutorial

Yes! Our lashes are specially designed to be worn on stubby straight Asian lashes and petite eyes. Please do curl your natural lashes with an eyelash curler, prior to applying the lash extensions. 

Absolutely! As per our Application instructions here, CURL your natural lashes first with your favourite eye curler, BEFORE starting to apply our Bond.

This means that the Zukyun DIY lashes - once applied to your curled natural lashes - will be out of your eyes and you won't see them in front of your eyes.

Will my lashes droop over the next few days, I hear you say? No worries! The Bond & Sealant will hold the curl in your natural lashes for as long as they are applied. If you need to re-curl after say 5 days, feel free to do so (you don't need to remove the DIY lashes before doing this).

No problem! Most Zukyun customers have weak lashes due to their previous lifestyle of continuous salon lash appointments. Also, our founders and a lot of Zukyun customers are of East Asian descent, which means that their lashes point straight downwards and are barely visible!

For this reason, Zukyun Beauty lashes are unique in that they are designed to be ULTRA-featherlight. The lash band is a single thread of organic cotton as opposed to the thick & obvious plastic backings you'll find at the drugstore. Guaranteed you won't feel anything on your eyes. 

However, if you're really worried - we suggest selecting our natural lash styles.

Our lashes are designed for easy at home application. Most of our customers either cannot apply strip lashes, or find our lash system much easier than strip lashes. Also, unlike strip lashes - you won’t have to worry about them coming off in the corners & you can’t feel them on your eye. If you can mascara, you CAN lash!

Most definitely. Our ultra-fine lash bands allow you to customise and get creative with how you want to build your lash look. Once the first set has dried, you can redo the process with one, two or a whole new set of lash segments to turn up the drama!

Zukyun Lash Extensions are featherlight and are designed to grip onto multiple natural lashes. This minimises the weight that your natural lashes will bear, compared to lash salon extensions which may apply several lashes to each individual natural lash.

Please follow the correct removal instructions (using our Lash Remover) to ensure your natural lashes are not damaged. Only 40 seconds is needed for at-home lash removal.

Yes! Our formulas are guaranteed not to harm your natural lashes or affect their natural growth. When applying your lashes, make sure you place them close to the natural lash line, but NOT touching the skin. The ideal distance from the natural lash line to place the lash extension is 1mm from the natural lash line. This ensures there is no tension at the root line and allows your natural lashes to breathe.

Don't panic! Your natural lashes shed daily and have a life cycle of 60-90 days. On average, we lose 1-5 lashes per day. Each individual lash is running on its own time, so if lashes appear to come out with your Zukyun lash clusters (providing you have not pulled them out & removed correctly), it was just their time to fall out.

Zukyun Beauty (and MEMI Evryday Limited) disclaims any liability for skin reactions; we recommend patch testing each product before usage. After a patch test, if irritation develops, immediately stop using the product and rinse the area with warm water for a few minutes. If inflammation continues, please seek medical advice.

At least 5+ months as everything inside it (including the lashes) is reuseable. The liquids (Lash Bond, Sealant, Remover) will last you even longer, around 8+ months depending on frequency of usage.

You can easily request a return of your Zukyun product(s), no questions asked, within 7 days of receiving the order. However, we do not cover or offer refunds on postage or shipping charges unless your order is faulty or damaged.

To begin your return process you must contact us on hi@zukyunbeauty.com within 7 days of receiving your order (and send us clear pictures of the products you received in its original box). In order for us to accept returns, all returned items must be returned unused, undamaged and in its original outer packaging, which must remain sealed and thereby unopened. Returns that do not meet these requirements will unfortunately not be refunded. Note we reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions. 

We suggest using a trackable service as we are not liable for returns lost in transit.

Gentle reminder that each of our lash extensions are handmade and discrepancies may occur. If the lashes differ from one another in regards to hair assignment this does not constitute damaged items - our lashes are designed to mimic natural lashes, after all! 

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 14 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Unless your order is faulty or damaged, shipping and handling costs (for shipping to & from the customer, in the case of returned products) are not refundable.

We are the first and only home lash extension system designed for petite eyes and humid weather.

Our mission is to make beautiful lash extensions accessible to everyone - even those who can’t stomach the upkeep and commitment of salon treatments. We believe that Beauty is only beautiful when it’s inclusive. 

Our proprietary lash formulas are ophthalmologist-approved, clinically-tested and proudly made in South Korea.

We are founded by a female corporate lawyer working in Hong Kong. She is a bit lazy when it comes to putting on make-up. She believes in being smart about beauty and the precious ‘face time’ we have in the mornings. Read more about our story on our About Us page!

‘Zukyun’ is an onomatopoeic Japanese word for when you’ve been struck with love, as if by cupid’s arrow. We hope our lashes instantly make customers feel that way about themselves, as soon as they put them on. Please read more about our heritage story on our  About Us page.
